Welcome to the Wastelands promises to be the most exciting expansion to the game, adding so much more to both the Escape the Horde core set, and Overrun expansion. With a dark cyberpunk theme, oversized cards and a totally new mechanic, this expansion will blow your mind!
Players no longer have to worry about Patient Zero, as everyone starts the game as a Survivor. This expansion is truly all about collaboration and will test how well players can work together to survive the dangers that lurk in the Wastelands. From Zombie hordes to flash floods, ripped backpacks to thievery and more, Welcome to the Wastelands is the ultimate test of post-apocalyptic survival.
The Welcome to the Wastelands expansion contains 76 new oversized card designs (88 cards total) and a Wasteland Die:

At the start of their turn each player takes a Welcome to the Wastelands card from the pile in a new phase in the game (Wastelands Phase). This card will determine how you (or others) play your turn (or subsequent turns) based on the directions on the card.
Each card has been designed using various idioms to add a new flavour to the game. Push|Luck, Beg|Steal, Sticky|Fingers, Bite|Bullet are just a few examples of these idioms, with one side usually having a reward attached to it, the other a risk. Oftentimes it is compulsory to roll, but you may choose to take a chance and roll the Wasteland die to better the outcome of your card. This adds a crazy element of luck to this amazing game of survival.
Another exciting component to this expansion is that it not only caters for large play groups of seven or more, it is also suitable for 1v1 play. So, grab a friend or two and get ready for a wild time.
